On the 7-8 of November, the accounting and finance profession reunited at ACCOUNTEX ESPAÑA to discuss the challenges and trends affecting the industry. Big themes included digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence, the constant legislative changes, labour management and human resources.
The event, which has become the main meeting for the profession, presents an opportunity for the sector to learn about digitalisation and automation.
The second edition of ACCOUNTEX ESPAÑA at the IFEMA MADRID Exhibition Centre, was organised in collaboration between Diversified Communications and the Madrid trade fair institution. More than 5,000 professionals attended, increasing last year’s attendance by 57%.
During the two days, a conference programme offered more than 80 hours of training and round tables. Sessions were delivered by members of the Public Administration, digital solution providers and organisations and associations. The talks analysed and discussed the challenges faced by professional firms and SMEs, especially with the digitisation of companies and the use of new technologies and Artificial Intelligence.
A key theme across the programme was the laws forcing all SMEs to go digital and use electronic invoicing, called the Anti-Fraud Law and the Crea y Crece Law. Sessions looked at the challenges, dangers and business opportunities these will provide.
During the second day, several round tables were held, such as one given within the framework of the FETTAF by Rosa María Prieto, Director General of the Tax Management Department of the State Tax Administration Agency. They spoke about the Tax Agency’s strategy to encourage voluntary compliance. Another key topic was the importance of professional firms as catalysts for digital transformation. Agustín Born, director of communication at Lefebvre, César Martín, CEO of ChatWith.io, Josep Balaguer, managing director of Balaguer Assesors, and Victor Martínez, software director at Lefebvre, were in charge of the debate.
ACCOUNTEX ESPAÑA presents an opportunity for many companies that still use traditional working methods to learn about the possibilities offered by digitalisation and automation in their processes.
Cristina Claveria, Exhibition Director of ACCOUNTEX ESPAÑA, said that “this second edition has been a great success. It has exceeded all expectations. The thousands of attendees have learned about the latest developments on everything that affects the profession. Without a doubt, we have received great support from all the exhibitors, visitors and collaborating entities, who see these events as an opportunity to connect, learn and continue training”. He also anticipated that “we are already working on the next edition, which will be held again at the IFEMA MADRID exhibition centre on 6 and 7 November 2024”.
This second edition was supported by more than 150 exhibiting and collaborating companies (including Wolters Kluwer, Sage, Cegid, Holded, Software DELSOL, Adiss and Lefebvre), with the support of more than 30 organisations, Professional Associations and Associations of Economists, Tax, Labour, Social Graduates, Administrative Managers and Networks of Professional Firms.
